What can I use to cut the sheet into the appropriate shape and drill the many holes? Will a box cutter and a regular drill bit do or will they scrape/crack the plastic? I'd like to replace it with a clear acrylic panel from a hardware shop.

The window is too dark and the fan holes are quite ugly.
